As you can see from my photos, no project is too big or too small. All work is done by hand, shovel and wheelbarrow. This allows me to take on projects that are typically overlooked by large landscape companies, as the job-site is inaccessible by machinery. Don't feel that your project is too large for me to build by hand. With almost 10 years experience working with limestone, I have built retaining walls over seven feet high that span complete properties!
Limestone walls, unlike wooden retaining walls do not have the same limitations, as they get stronger with age, not weaker. Wooden retaining walls will bow and sag over the years, as the pressure of the earth, rain and snow press against the walls. The limestone walls I build have a concave face in 2 directions. As the earth presses against my walls over time, the pressure forces the rocks together tighter, actually strengthening the walls.
